I woke up to find Alex eating his way through the cake that MIL sent over. Geez. No food is ever safe with Alex around.
So, since he just cannot be beat, I joined in. We stuffed our faces with cake until we could hardly move.
Worked around the house, chores as usual.
Early afternoon had me thinking about where to eat dinner. Decided that I missed TGI Friday’s.
nothing fancy schmancy. just good food.
For tonight’s dinner…
Baked Potato Soup
Alex was not feeling very well after all the cake this morning. He had too much sugar, the poor kid. So I ordered the Baked Potato Soup to help him feel better.
Cajun Chicken and Shrimp Pasta
The Cajun Chicken and Shrimp Pasta dish is the one I miss so much. I ordered a solo dish, just a small serving, to appease my craving. We all had some of it. I think it has become a family favorite.
Chicken Fingers
At first, we thought about ordering the Chicken Fingers from the kids’ menu just for Alex. In the end we decided to order the bigger serving so that we can share it among ourselves.
Big Apple Mojito
I used to order their Long Island Iced Tea. But for tonight I tried their Big Apple Mojito, for a change. Anson had a few sips, and it only reaffirmed that alcohol is not for him. But to me, TGIFriday’s mojito has become my new poison. I love it.
Jack Daniel’s Pork Chop
Alex and I shared this dish. The large serving was just enough for the two of us. It was awesome, as usual.
Jack Daniel’s Salmon
It was no surprise to me that Anson ordered the Salmon. After all, it is among his favorites (remember Cyma?). But OH. MY. GIDDY. AUNT. Words could not describe it when I took a few bites of this dish. Partnered with Friday’s Jack Daniel’s sauce, it was more than perfect.
After dinner, we head on to TimeZone. Alex had a go of some of the kiddie rides, while Anson and I took out some aggression towards playing a shooting game – Rambo. It was sheer fun.
at Starbucks Petron SLEX
Next stop is Starbucks at Petron SLEX. I had some Green Tea Cream, while Anson had a Caramel Frappe.
Nothing beats a night of good food, fun games and a loving family.
