Every sixteenth day of the month, Anson and I celebrate our monthsary. Today was our 92nd.
As usual, we dined out to celebrate. Unlike last month’s dinner at Gerry’s Grill where we had Filipino food, we chose to do something else for this month. We went to Tony Roma’s restaurant in Alabang Town Center.
Truth be told, my day revolved around this dinner. I even had to broadcast my itch to go to the mall around early afternoon. That’s how excited I was.
Now, on to the foodie photos!
while waiting for our order
The waiter brought out this complimentary food, so we could nibble on something while waiting for our order. However, there wasn’t time to actually enjoy the bread. Our food came no more than 12 minutes after ordering. It was that fast.
French Onion Soup
I was the one who picked French Onion Soup for starters, and boy, did I make the right choice.
Roma’s Sampler
Anson and I decided to order the large plates, which will be good for sharing among the three of us. We chose the Appetizer Sampler. It consists of Mozzarella Sticks, Fire Wings and Potato Skins.
The Mozzarella Sticks were a hit to Alex. Anson enjoyed the Fire Wings. The Potato Skins, however, were the sure winner for tonight.
Star-studded Sampler
The Star-studded sampler was the choice for entree. It consists of four haf-slab ribs in the following sauces – Original Baby Backs, Carolina Honeys, Red Hots and Blue Ridge Smokies.
Alex had most of the Carolina Honeys, because it was sweet, perfect for kids. Anson and I sampled all, but I ate more of the Red Hots than the rest.
The sampler came with a Baked Potato and a bowl of Ranch Style Beans. The Baked Potato was shared between Anson and Alex, while I very much devoured the beans.
Friends of Tony Roma’s Discount Card
When Anson asked for the bill, the waiter asked us if we have a discount card. We did not. So we asked him how we could avail of one. He gave us both applications and we only had to fill them up. After a few minutes, Anson and I both got issued a Friends of Tony Roma’s privilege card. Awesome!
We capped the night with a trip to Frutti Froyo, our favorite frozen yogurt place.
Looking forward to our 93rd!
