An uneventful day turned into something wonderful. That’s what yesterday was all about.
I spent the morning working on this blog and doing my daily chores. I had to cajole Anson into coming home early because I still was not feeling very well, but traffic jams seemed to be everywhere yesterday (including a roadblock JUST BECAUSE THE AREA WAS HAVING ITS FIESTA – WHAT THE FUDGE PEOPLE?!?!), it took him three and a half hours to get home.
I let him have a power nap and Alex joined in. Ah, some alone time. I worked on my blog’s new design, mostly doing CSS and adding some HTML snippets here and there. Notice the sidebar? Hah!

You know what? It was nice to work quietly and catch glimpses of my family peacefully sleeping on the bed beside me.
Anson woke up at half past seven o’clock in the evening. We discussed our options for dinner. I wanted pasta so it was either Amici or Cyma. Given that Cyma’s servings are huge, and that he wanted to try the beef shanks pasta, well, it’s not hard to guess where we ended up.
Dolmadakia
We wanted to try their Manitaria, which has Portobello mushrooms, but they were out of them so we chose to replace it with Dolmadakia. The rice-stuffed grape vines has a unique flavor that is so new to us. We enjoyed it immensely.
Marouli Salad
Our choice of salad for the evening was the Marouli Salad. It was not on their printed menu, but it was written on a board. It has salad greens, dill, cherry tomatoes and feta cheese. It was, so far, the best salad I’ve tasted in the restaurant.
Pastisado, Green Osso Bucco
For the pasta, we ordered Pastisado, the Greek Osso Bucco. This was what Anson had been curious about for days. It is braised beef shank in tomato sauce, served on top of spaghetti. Alex loved every forkful or it. The serving was more than we could finish so we ended up bringing it home.
After dinner, on our way to the parking lot, I ran into four of my schoolmates in high school. It was so nice seeing them, if only for a few minutes. Before last night, it had been such a long time since I last saw them.
Got home, sent Alex to bed. Cuddled next to Anson while we watch Taken on DVD. Awesome movie.
What a great weekend!

Haha! I enjoyed Taken, too.

OMG talaga.
