Happy Father’s Day, mi amor!

Had a rough start today. I had a really bad bout with allergies which lasted until early evening. By then, it was too late to decide where to eat dinner.

No matter. We love Cyma so much we could eat there every day.

Happy Father’s Day, Daddy!

Something wonderful happened, too.

We got to Cyma at half past eight o’clock in the evening. The place was packed, there was not any table available. However, we were willing to wait to be seated.

There were two more parties aside from us who were waiting to be accommodated. Some ten minutes later, unfortunately, the host announced that they were closed for the night.

As we walked to leave, the manager came to us and said he could accommodate us. Is it because we are regular diners there? I hope so. In any case, it was awesome!

Now on to foodie pics!

Roka Salata - Cyma

Roka Salata

Roka Salata is, by far, the best salad I have ever tasted. Period. We ordered an add-on blue cheese which I think made it even more flavorful.

Then came the Fillet Mignon. What can I say? It was exquisitely delicious. Anson and I shared it. By the time I finished my half, I was already full. But there was more food coming.

The Yiouvetsi, which is braised lamb with orzo, is a favorite of ours. We tried it before and we fell in love with its hearty goodness.

Since I was already full from the steak, I only had a few spoonfuls of the lamb and pasta. Alex had a blast with it. We did not get to finish everything, though, and we had to have it wrapped to take home with us.

Galaktoboureko - Cyma

Galaktoboureko

For dessert, we had the Galaktoboureko. It is one of my favorite desserts of all time.

Cyma, thanks for making Father’s Day so wonderful for my family!
