We’ll be wrapping books and notebooks next, as soon as I get the lot from the school. Hopefully, they will be distributed next week.

But on the off-hours, someone knows how to wind down.

Since then I cannot count how many times I have sneezed and blown to my nose’s content. My god, the sneezing doesn’t stop. What a bitch. *shakes fist*

The headache came yesterday, the dull, annoying kind that left me miserable and frustrated because I wanted to finish some WordPress and PHP thingies. I couldn’t concentrate so the geeky stuff just had to suck it for the day.

I played two new games instead. Thankfully, not the kind where I am expected to cook food and serve them at an unreasonable pace or collect gold bars.

I’ve been spending my days reading, cooking, crafting, watching DVDs and TV (I’m addicted to Dexter, Food Network and Lifestyle channel again), curating the Personal Finance Software section of Gizmo’s freeware and being mom.

I still sleep a whole lot, but I’ve managed to fix my body clock. I now sleep before 9 pm, and wake up no later than 7 o’clock the following morning. By the time I step out of my room, the house is clean, my plants have already been watered and breakfast is waiting for me. The new maid is so freaking efficient.

We’ve put up our Christmas tree, but we’re not done decorating it. I’ve been practicing making huge bows I can put on the tree.

Not bad, huh?

NB. goodsamers.com has a nice roadside assistance plan. Check ‘em out.

The weather has been so awesome since yesterday. The cool, bed weather has actually made us here at home a lot more productive. The yayas, under my supervision, pushed some pieces of furniture around, rearranged them a bit to accommodate some new stuff.

Also, I finally cleaned my old Dell Inspiron 6400 laptop. It has been way past due, but I finally forced myself to do it. Then I went about reformatting it and installing the usual programs – Office Suite, Winamp, VLC player and a lot of games. This is because I will be giving the old laptop to A2, so he can learn his way around computers.

Today has been pretty much the same as yesterday – movies, Wii, movies, eat. Right now we are keeping warm under one huge comforter. Thank goodness for iPad 2s, I am so mobile I can blog and tweet even when I am on the couch. I can even blog and tweet while doing number 2. Hahaha!

Anyway, I am just being talkative. I can’t help it. I have been writing in the past week that I have gotten my groove back. Just typing whatever comes to mind. So awesome.

And another thing, I am getting so addicted to GetGlue. Does anyone have a nice PNG icon of GetGlue? I’d love to have an icon on my sidebar (look to the left, yo) linked to my GetGlue profile. Oh, follow me if you’re on there.

I think I will be fixing the mess on my dresser. It is another “to-do” item that is way overdue. I do not like having the yayas touch my stuff (makeup, hair products, etc), so I have to be the one to straighten up the dresser. Hay. I’ll let you know tomorrow if I have finally pushed my lazy ass into doing it.

Oh! It is almost October! Time to make a Christmas gift list! You know what would be a nice gift to someone who loves smoking cigars? Have a look at humidors! They also make great gifts for photography enthusiasts, you know, to keep their lenses safe and dry.

But apart from coming up with a gift list, I am coming up with a WISH LIST. Only a few more weeks before Black Friday, so I have to complete my list before then. Haha.

I hope you are all safe and dry. We at the South of Manila are doing rather fine. I am just so grateful I live where I live. There are places that are flood-prone, I shiver at the thought of living there. I just like the wind and the cool weather, thank you very much.

Be safe, y’all.

What I am more concerned about is his behavior in school. When he first started out, I was afraid his grades would be… unsatisfactory. He is a very hyperactive boy and he really cannot stay on one activity for very long. Whenever I had a meeting with his teacher, I always got told that he is very playful in class. It worries me so much.

So you see, I am very happy with how his exams went. Although very playful in class, he still gets to absorb his lessons and ace the tests.

It is a wonderful feeling, being so proud of my son.

It has been so busy this past week. Not that there are a lot of important things for me to do, because there aren’t, but because I chose to do a lot of fun things to fill out my day. Mind you, I have improved (somewhat) from being sick and watching DVDs all day to feeling good (bye bye, morning sickness, you will not be missed), going out, eating a variety of food (I have stopped craving for burgers), tweeting, blogging, and being an overall good mommy.

On to the topic of this post. While I have, temporarily, shunned burgers, I still have a really bad craving for sweets. Stuffing my face with cake everyday is not at all possible, because I get bored with the same flavor if I have them for three days straight. The same goes for ice cream.

Then I came across Yoplait one grocery day.

Yoplait Vanilla, 1kg – PHP 282.00, Shopwise

Why I did not think of having yogurt before as an alternative to cakes and ice cream, I don’t know. I’m just happy there’s Yoplait in that size available in my local grocery store, because I can have yogurt any time of day when I crave for it.

Of course, I will always have The White Hat or Frutti Froyo when we go out, like when A2 needed to be taken to the ENT specialist for the second time. I gave him some White Hat as a treat for being a brave boy.

Monkey’s Hat at The White Hat

Lover’s Hat at The White Hat

Or when we’re at ATC… Because heaven knows I simply cannot resist Frutti Froyo.

archive photo, Dinner at The Cafe Mediterranean, part two

Since buying that first carton of Yoplait, I have never went without. I really enjoy having yogurt even if it is very early in the morning. It’s just so convenient having some yogurt in the fridge. Besides, it’s so healthy that I let A2 and A3 raid the fridge when they want some sweets, too.

NB. Siegel Display products have the best magazine racks, brochure and sign holders and restaurant podium. Check ‘em out.

He had a cerumen impaction removal, or, to put it simply, earwax buildup removal.

It had to be done, though, because it gave him a hard time last week when his ear was infected. Thankfully, there was no fuss during the procedure.

Unfortunately, we have to go back again this coming Wednesday, which is his birthday. Poor kid.

Afterwards, we went out to have lunch at Hap Chan Tea House, which I think just opened recently in the area. But that will be for another post.

It is now 11:18 and I should be making lunch. However, I feel too lazy. So here I am updating.

Yesterday was a marathon of activities. To some, it might not be a lot because I only had to go to three places – school, hospital and grocery – but to someone like me who has been stuck at home for the past couple of weeks, it was shocking.

So yep, yesterday I took Alex to a ENT specialist. His left ear has been aching for the past three days. I only found out on the second day. He did not tell me a thing and I would not have found out if I had not been the one to wash his hair the other day.

Postotic

He has an infection on his left ear. The doctor gave him antibiotic.

I had been feeling relatively well. Relatively. The morning sickness (or rather all-day sickness) STILL has not stopped but it had been more manageable in the past two days. I just want it to stop altogether.

Oh, and friends who might have been trying to call or send me SMS, I haven’t used my phone in weeks, nor have I gotten a new number. I just would not be bothered with anonymous phone calls. So yeah, no phone for me (which means no batteries for cell phones either, hah)

I had been keeping busy, though. Not busy and important, but just busy – like watching movies all day, sleeping for fourteen to sixteen hours per day, annoying the maid, annoying my father, resting, vomiting, resting some more and whining about my never ending food cravings. My days are full. Hahaha.
